CONNECTING CITIES

WHY RAIL TRAVEL

Despite Canada's vast landmass, more than half of the population lives in the area between the Windsor-Detroit border and Quebec City. The area also contains many of the country's largest economic centers. Bridging the distance-time gap for travel across this area will result in massive economic and social improvements.

High-speed rail is the only transportation system that can quickly, efficiently and reliably connect people and goods across long distances.

INFRASTRUCTURE

BUILDING THE NETWORK

The line operates on its own dedicated set of tracks that are grade-separated. This eliminates the need for land crossings and the possibility of collisions with vehicles or people.

Combined track and bridge segments will be constructed off-site and transported to the line location.

Bridge

TRAINS

ROLLING STOCK

The line will be serviced by hydrogen-electric trains. Using hydrogen as the energy source as opposed to the standard wired-electric eliminates the need for an overhead catenary.
